Malta boasts of the best summer parties and events- from concerts to wine fests and cultural activities. Here’s the ultimate list of what to do this season!

Wine Festivals

For all wine lovers- mark these events on your calendars!

Marsovin Wine Festival

This event will be held in the atmospheric Hastings Gardens, Valletta, between the 12th to the 14th of July (you read that correctly- three days of great wine). With the beautiful historic scenery of Valletta as its backdrop, this event is usually packed with food, live music performed by Malta’s top entertainers, and of course, wine. What’s not to love?

Delicata Wine Festival

On the 8th of August 2019, Delicata invites you to the Upper Barrakka Gardens, Valletta to taste some of their most decadent wines, savour the most talented live bands, enjoy the happy atmosphere and celebrate the years’ harvest.

If you cannot make it on that particular day, Delicata will be hosting the same event later during the month in Nadur, Gozo. Or, you know, go twice!

Music

These events are an absolute must if your idea of a good time is dancing the night away!

Isle of MTV 2019

In its 13th consecutive year, Isle of MTV presents its biggest open air show yet on the 9th of July 2019. Visit Valletta for a night of biggest hits from world renowned performers, such as Wiley, Martin Garrix, Bebe Rexha and Ava Maxx! What could be better than that? Oh right, the event is free!

Il Volo “Musica Tour”

Il Volo are back in Malta on their “Musica Tour” on the 19th of July 2019, at the Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre. These singers are no stereotypical boy band- Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble have charmed nations far and wide with their classic voices and irresistible serenades. This is a show that will impress young and older audiences- guaranteed!

Ricasoli- Summer Nights

Join the party at the first annual Ricasoli Summer Night at the Laguna Walk, Smart City, on the 12th of 2019. Dance to the tune of the Brasshouse Unit, one of Malta’s top brass bands, featuring Ozzy Lino and Gloriana. Tickets are being sold at only 16 euro, which include two glasses of premium wine and food. Book fast before tickets run out!

Kinetic Roll

If you’re more of the Rock ‘n’ Roll type, this event is the one for you. The Kinetic Dance Academy presents Kinetic Rocks, at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, Valletta, on the 19th of July 2019. Expect electric guitars, jazz and psychedelic rock, featuring Queen, The Beatles, Ozzy Osbourne and many many more performances from the golden era of rock. Time to get movin’ and groovin’!

Theatre

Some open air culture for all ages!

The Tempest

The MADC, Malta’s acclaimed theatre company, is proud to present Shakespeare’s “The Tempest”, running from the 29th June to the 8th of July 2019. The open air production is being held at San Anton Gardens, the perfect scenery for the tragedy/comedy. However, MADC have presented its audiences an unexpected twist to the traditional play- the protagonist, Prospero, is being played by a female, aptly renamed Prospera! Tickets are only 15 euros- a must see for all age groups!

My Good Friend Steve

This light-hearted comedy will be performed at the University of Malta’s Quadrangle on the 10th and 11th of August 2019. It’s a typical story of unrequited love, relationship problems, and (plot twist) a Grim Reaper! Support this local team of actors during Evenings on Campus, and purchase the tickets today!
